There is a very substantial controversy going on in the country regarding the draft opinion that was written by Justice Samuel Alito calling on the Court to overrule Roe v. Wade —the landmark 1973 opinion that legalized abortion nationwide that has been leaked out.  Chief Justice John Roberts has confirmed that the leaked document is “authentic” but in doing damage control he said that it does not represent a decision by the Court of the final position of any member on the issues in the case.”  That is poppycock and Roberts knows it!

Roberts must be in la-la land if he thinks the people have a high perception of the Supreme Court —the people’s perception of the Supreme Court was already at rock bottom well before the leak.  https://news.gallup.com/poll/354908/approval-supreme-court-down-new-low.aspx.  Even well before this so called leak happened, one of the greatest federal judges of all time, Richard A. The big talking Roberts went on to say that he has launched an “official investigation into the source of the leak.”  What is Roberts so nervous about?  If he actually believes that Alito and his draft opinion are on the up and up, then he shouldn’t be nervous about it.  Why is it so important for the Supreme Court —or any federal court for that matter— to be able to conceal from the public its inner workings?  Such secrecy undermines the integrity of the court as the people are certainly entitled to know of the goings on in the federal judiciary at every level —including and especially the goings on in the Supreme Court!  In addressing the issue of federal courts’ “internal deliberations”, longtime and highly respected and now retired judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, Richard A. Let’s get something straight here that Roberts and the Republican hypocrites don’t want the public to know when they are calling for the head of the leaker of the draft opinion, there is no criminal statute against leaking draft opinions, so when Roberts spouts off about an “official investigation” and the Republican misfits call for a grand jury and prosecution of the leaker, NO LAW WAS VIOLATED!  But Roberts and the Republican bottom feeders won’t tell you that.  The so called “leaking” of the draft opinion shouldn’t even be an issue as it is a product created by the Supreme Court which makes it the business of the American people.  It should not be considered a “secret” document —it should be considered a “public” document.  If anything, the person, or persons, who leaked the draft opinion should get a medal.

The secrecy and clandestine method of operation as espoused by Roberts and the Supreme Court as an institution is a bad thing for the country and reeks of the very stench that Justice Sonia Sotomayor warned us about not long ago when in the oral argument on December 1, 2021, on the issue of the 2018 Mississippi abortion law, Justice Sotomayor asked “Will this institution survive the stench that this creates in the public perception that the Constitution and its reading are just political acts?  I don’t see how it is possible.”  https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/sotomayor-suggests-supreme-court-won-t-survive-stench-overturning-roe-n1285166.  Her question has just been answered.  And the answer given by Alito in the attempted concealed draft opinion is a resounding no —the institution of the Supreme Court will not survive the stench that it has created in the public perception that the Constitution and its reading are just political acts.  The “stench” has been confirmed by Roberts’ dog and pony show as to how he routinely tries to put on a fake persona of legitimacy of the Supreme Court, and the stench has also been confirmed by the very members of the Court who are on board with overruling Roe v. Wade who in their confirmation hearings, they each, to a person, lied and intimated, under oath, that it was their belief that Roe v. Wade was settled law, and precedent that should not be overturned —and those lying nominees were Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas.

It is very interesting that the so called “Justices” on this Supreme Court —and I use that term loosely— have no problem with overruling a long time honored precedent in Roe v. Wade which gave women the right to an abortion that included having a legal abortion in situations brough on by rape and incest, but when it came to their individual situations when they faced accusations of rape and abuses against women, several members of this current Supreme Court who now want to overturn Roe v. It should not be forgotten that while the current Supreme Court is geared toward overturning Roe v. Wade, which will take away a women’s protection against carrying an unwanted baby even in cases involving forced rape or incest, that a third of the six men on the Supreme Court who are in favor of taking away this protective right against women have had credible sexual misconduct allegations against them.  https://www.huffpost.com/entry/brett-kavanaugh-clarence-thomas_n_5bb761b5e4b0876eda9d73e8.  The actions of Alito and his compadres on the Supreme Court will not only deprive adult women of their right to have an abortion, their actions will also deprive a child who has been raped of the child’s right to have an abortion, in other words, babies who are raped will face the consequence of having a baby themselves.  These so called “Justices” couldn’t be more immoral.

Wade but who lied at their confirmation hearings when they testified under oath that it was their belief that Roe v. Wade was settled law and precedent that should not be overturned.  Two things need to happen here, the leaker of the Alito draft opinion should be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the five lying so called “Justices” —Alito, Barret, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Thomas— who have defiled the Supreme Court should be removed and permanently banned from ever becoming a member of any judiciary again.

The country should have taken heed to what Judge Richard A. Posner told us when he publicly stated that America has a “very bad" judicial system that "contaminates much of government.”  https://promarket.org/2017/03/28/richard-posner-real-corruption-ownership-congress-rich/.  But at least now, with the recent revelation of the so called “leak” of Alito’s draft opinion, and with Chief Justice Roberts’ outrage about the public’s awareness of it, Justice Sotomayor’s question has been indeed answered when she asked “Will this institution survive the stench that this creates in the public perception that the Constitution and its reading are just political acts?” as the draft memo provides a conclusive answer to Justice Sotomayor’s question, and the answer is a resounding no —the Supreme Court as an institution will not survive the stench it has created with what it is now doing in its clandestine shenanigans of overruling Roe v. Wade by way of five lying “Justices” who committed perjury to get onto the Supreme Court in order to deprive women of their sacred right to make decisions affecting their own bodies!  It is indeed a very strong stench!
